Install on Ubuntu / Debian¶
This guide covers installing cli_debrid on a bare-metal or VM Ubuntu/Debian server using Docker Engine.
Use Docker Engine, not Docker Desktop
On Linux servers, install Docker Engine directly. Docker Desktop on Linux runs in a VM and causes mount and permission issues.
Prerequisites¶
- Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 or Debian 12 (recommended)
- A user with
sudoaccess - Your debrid mount already working (Zurg + rclone or Decypharr) — see Step 2
Step 1 — Install Docker Engine¶
Verify:
Step 2 — Create directories¶
Step 3 — Create the compose file¶
Paste:
docker-compose.yml
services:
cli_debrid:
image: godver3/cli_debrid:dev
pull_policy: always
container_name: cli_debrid
ports:
- "5000:5000"
- "5001:5001"
volumes:
- ~/cli_debrid/db_content:/user/db_content
- ~/cli_debrid/config:/user/config
- ~/cli_debrid/logs:/user/logs
- /path/to/your/debrid/mount:/media/mount # e.g. /mnt/zurg, /mnt/data/debrid
- /path/to/plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server:/plex_data # optional — overlay feature
environment:
- TZ=America/New_York # your timezone
- MALLOC_ARENA_MAX=2 # optional — limits glibc memory arenas, reduces memory fragmentation in Python apps
restart: unless-stopped
tty: true
stdin_open: true
